This oblong winter squash is thin-skinned with a deliciously buttery and creamy flesh. Its skin is edible, as are its seeds!
To prepare, slice the squash in half and scoop out the seeds. You can cook a delicata squash whole, but the process will take a little longer. Bake, roast or puree the squash to make soup! You can also steam delicata squash and toss with dried fruit and pine nuts for a quick, delicious meal.
Delicata squash won't keep as long as other winter squash due to their thin skin. They should be kept in a cool, dry space.
