This winter squash produces a stringy flesh that is similar to firm, thin spaghetti. Spaghetti squash is mild, and absorbs the flavors of ingredients it’s paired with well.
You can bake spaghetti squash in the oven and split in half. Remove all of the seeds (you can roast these later just like you would pumpkin seeds). Take a fork and run it vertically down the squash to create strings, much like spaghetti. Add your favorite sauce, sauté it with vegetables, or eat it plain as a meal!
Spaghetti squash can be stored at room temperature for up to one month. Cut spaghetti squash can be stored in the fridge for up to two days.
