Jalapenos are sweet peppers with a moderately spicy heat. Chop them up to add some spice to your chili, and salsa!
Store jalapeno peppers in a paper bag in the crisper of your refrigerator for up to one week. To dry jalapenos, use a needle to string the peppers by their stems and hang in a dry location. Refrigeration is not necessary. You can also grind the dried jalapenos to use as an easy spice additive to meals. Wear gloves when cutting peppers. Remove ribs and seeds to reduce heat.
