Rich in vitamins, minerals and bright green color, spinach is one of the world’s healthiest greens.
Wash spinach leaves before cooking. You can steam or sauté spinach for a quick addition to your favorite meal or add a burst of flavor to your soup or egg dishes by adding baby spinach. To avoid overcooking, add spinach near the end of the cooking process.
Do not wash spinach before storing. Place spinach in an airtight container or plastic bag and place in the refrigerator where it will keep for up to five days. Avoid storing cooked spinach as it will not keep well.
