The vibrant taste and excellent healing properties of parsley are just two reasons the highly nutritious herb is widely recognized. Although commonly used as a garnish on restaurant plates, take advantage of this nutritional powerhouse by adding it to soups, sautéed vegetables, or sauces!
Fresh parsley should be washed immediately before its use. To wash, place in a bowl of water and swish it around with your hands to remove dirt. Parsley is best added at the end of the cooking process so it can retain its maximum flavor and nutritional value.
To store parsley, slightly trim the ends and place them in a jar with water. Cover the leaves with a plastic bag and store in the refrigerator for a week or longer!
