Poblanos are crisp, mild and herbaceous when green, but cooks often char or roast them. Peeled, with seeds and stems removed, you can stuff poblanos to make rellenos or cut them into thin strips and add to soups, salads, or tacos.
About the Farm:
Great River Organics (GRO) is a farmer-owned, non-profit cooperative comprised of growers committed to expanding the footprint of local, certified organic products in the central Ohio marketplace. They’ve built a network of member farms who share a common set of values based on the craft of organic farming, a sense of place unique to Ohio, and the superior taste and quality of the products produced there.
GRO was born of the growers’ passion for providing central Ohio consumers with a diverse range of locally and organically grown produce of the highest flavor, nutrition and quality—while honoring both the farmer and the environment. Developed through strategic partnerships, farm-to-farm relationships, and more than six years of research, it is GRO’s goal to grow regional farm businesses, preserve Ohio farmland, and provide a larger-scale, local alternative to organic produce from outside Ohio.
