The avocado is commonly referred to as a “super food,” because of its incredible health benefits. Not only does the avocado boast incredibly high levels of vitamins and minerals, but they are smooth, buttery and delicious.
Avocado is a delicious addition to salads or salsas, and of course there's guacamole. Add avocados to your smoothie for a wonderful creamy texture.
For best results, leave avocados on the counter for a few days until they become a brownish, dark green and feel somewhat soft. Slice the avocado in half and remove the pit. Once the pit has been removed, the avocado can be sliced up while it is still inside the skin then squeezed out.
