Dr. Fritz Kunz and Jane Elder Kunz founded Traders Point Creamery in 2003 on farm land that had been in the family for generations. A commitment to health led the Kunz family to traditional, rotational grazing practices without the use of synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, antibiotics, or hormones to produce organic, 100% grass-fed dairy products. Their products include award-winning cheese, milk, and yogurt.
• Full-fat, creamline products with a host of health benefits.
Grass-fed milk is full of health-promoting omega-3 fatty acids, CLA, beta-carotene and vitamins A and D that are found in the fat or cream. Cows were meant to digest grass, not grain, so grass-fed milk helps to balance your omega-3 to omega-6 ratio. Traders Point favors primarily whole milk products because of the health benefits found in the fat.
• It’s easier to digest.
Modern-day homogenization disperses fat molecules throughout the milk, making it more difficult for our bodies to recognize and assimilate these healthful fats. Traders Point dairy products are handled less and non-homogenized which may actually make their products easier to digest for those who don’t typically tolerate dairy well. Although Traders Point favors non-homogenization, they do pasteurize their milk in accordance with food safety laws.
• Milk’s natural flavor and character are intact.
The Brown Swiss cows at Traders Point are free to roam fertile pastures of well-cultivated grass blends, leading to a more natural flavor and character of superior quality. This milk does NOT taste sterile and flavorless like the majority of store-bought, conventional milks.
