Snowville Creamery was founded in response to a lack of truly fresh, local dairy products. Their mission is to provide wholesome and fresh milk from grass-grazing cows for retail sale in local markets.
Producing “milk the way it used to be,” Snowville Creamery sources milk only from cows that have been grass-grazed. In addition to improving the welfare of farm animals, grass-grazing reduces environmental damage and yields food that tastes better and contains higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) that benefit human health.
Snowville’s products are also pasteurized at lower temperatures to ensure the integrity of the milk’s natural whey proteins and retain the wonderful flavor and rich creaminess of farm fresh milk.
“At Snowville Creamery, we believe grass-based dairy is the tip of the spear, or the Achilles tendon, or the thin edge of the wedge, the key leverage point for dismantling the destructive industrial agriculture system which is releasing carbon from soil into the atmosphere, washing chemical laden soil down rivers to the ocean, producing high carbohydrate and high omega-6 food which makes us and our children sick.
Grass-based animal agriculture produces superior nutrition while building soil and soil carbon levels. It is simply a better model of production.”
